Aloe Vera is an attractive succulent which grows easily with little care. The gel is moisturising, has the same pH as human skin and blocks 20-30 percent of UV rays, making it the perfect summer skin tonic. Its healing properties are well-known, & it was popularised by Cleopatra as her favourite cosmetic herb.
Medicinal Uses - Aloe vera is cooling and soothing. Topically, the gel is applied directly to sunburnt or inflammed skin conditions such as rashes or eczema. Internally, it is soothing to the digestive tract & is used for stomach ulcers and colitis.
